You deserve healing. If you or someone you know is You deserve healing. If you or someone you know is struggling with an ED, there are so many resources available to help. I’ll be posting some specific resources later this week 🤍
Having an eating disorder is always hard, but havi Having an eating disorder is always hard, but having an ED when skinnytok exists, influencers with raging EDs are telling you to “just take the edge off hunger” and every other person is on a GLP-1 - it’s harder.

If you’re trying to heal - I see you & I’m proud of you 🫶🏻

Here’s a step by step of exactly what I did ↓ I s Here’s a step by step of exactly what I did ↓

I stopped cutting foods out. Every time I labeled something “bad” or “off limits,” my brain put it on a pedestal and I wanted it even more. I truly thought I would just binge all the time when I gave myself permission, but I did it in a structured way & that didn’t happen.

I started eating enough. Actually enough. Not what influencers on Instagram say you should eat. When my body was well fed, it stopped screaming at me to think about food every five minutes.

I built meals that actually satisfied me. Not what a plan said I should eat. Meals with carbs, fat, protein, and flavor. Food that made me feel full and didn’t have me hunting through the pantry an hour later.

I let go of the guilt. The guilt after eating kept me stuck in the cycle. It wasn’t motivating me, no matter how much I thought it was.

And finally, I stopped trying to eat perfectly 24/7. The all-or-nothing thinking was what kept food living rent-free in my head all day.

When I stopped making food the enemy, it stopped taking up so much space.

I challenge you to try one of these things this week and let me know how it goes 🫶🏻

Things I Don’t Do Anymore as a Nutritionist Who Used to Be Stuck in the Binge/Restrict Cycle:

❌ Skip breakfast to “make up for yesterday”
❌ Label food as “good” or “bad”
❌ Avoid social events because of food
❌ “Start over” every Monday
❌ Tell myself I can only have this food once
❌ Eat whatever I want because I already “messed up today”

Because now I know:
- Restriction causes the binge & constant food thoughts
- Food rules fuel the chaos, not contain it
- You can’t hate your way into healing your relationship with food

I promise you don’t have to live like this, there’s a better way to show up around food 🫶🏻
